(This article uses ESPrtk 2.5.3 – Window PC – Google Chrome Browser).
I will use ESPrtk to send RTCM data to NTRIP Caster.
I will choose rtk2go.com (free server from SNIP) as an example.
Create a name (mountpoint) for the Base station.
I have intended to use “00_ESPrtk_M2QjZ” to name (mountpoint) for Base station. The name for the mountpoint needs to be unique (different from the previously registered names), and follow some rules: http://www.rtk2go.com/how-to-connect/
Visit http://rtk2go.com:2101 , check to see if the name has been used by someone else.
They are arranged in alphabetical order. Checking all the mountpoint names, I see “00_ESPrtk_M2QjZ” was not used and I can choose it to name my station.
In NTRIP Caster tab:
- Caster ip: rtk2go.com
- Port :2101
- Mointpoint : 00_ESPrtk_M2QjZ
- Password : BETATEST
I will not choose “Auto check mountpoint conflict” because I am sure my mointpoint’s name is unique.
Select “Use custom Entry STR”, I will configure more information to tell CASTER and users (Rover) about the status of the Basestation.
Please make sure the information is configured correctly.
Now restart ESPrtk, ESPrtk will connect to the Wifi access point and connect to rtk2go.com server. Then, It will start send the RTCM data from RX_UART1 port to NTRIP Caster.
Accessing this address http://www.rtk2go.com:2101/, I found my pointpoint appeared.
Visit this website http://www.rtk2go.com:2101/SNIP::STATUS , go to and click on the mountpoint called “00_ESPrtk_M2QjZ”, I will get more detailed information.
Perfect, now the Basestation is ready, Rovers can use RTCM data from it to use for its RTK applications.
I have make a short testing my RTK system using NS-HP-BD and ESPrtk module, with SNIP Caster (NTRIP) -Internet connection.
NS-HP-BD (Base) export RTCM3.3 then ESPrtk base send RTCM to SNIP SERVER.
ESPrtk client receive RTCM from SNIP Server and stream for NS-HP-BD Rover to get FIX correct, at the same time ESPrtk client send $GPGGA message of NS-HP-BD to SNIP Server and save all NMEA messages to SD Card.
After the test, i played the NMEA file on U-Center software.
